Angie Dorris, our Bariatric Patient Assistant, will be your contact for all your insurance questions and concerns. '
When you contact our office, you will need to provided us with all of your insurance information. We are happy to work with your insurance company on your behalf to determine whether or not you have insurance coverage for weight loss surgery, as well as your specific benefits.
Once it is determined that you have insurance coverage for surgery, we will contact you to discuss the next steps in the process toward weight loss surgery. This will most likely involve asking that you obtain medical records, as well as submit a letter to your insurance company requesting prior approval for surgery. Upon approval from your insurance company, an appointment will be made for your consultation with Dr. King.
If you do not have insurance that will cover your surgery, you may opt to pay cash for surgery. We also accept VISA, Master Card and CareCredit. We would be glad to discuss these popular options with you as well. A considerable benefit to paying cash is that the entire process is shortened. Without the need to wait for a response from the insurance company, your consultation with Dr. King and your surgery can be scheduled much sooner.
